  The "American Forest Axe" is a professional forest axe made of the highest quality Swedish steel available. This beauty of an axe has a larger 4-1/2" head face & is excellent for felling larger trees. The axe is forged to a curved bit & sharpened, making it ideal for cutting into fresh resinous wood such as spruce or pine. The extra long hickory handle lends the axe great power when swung. Handle is long with a natural curve for proper weighting of the axe. the head weighs 3-1/3 lb. & gives serious power to the cut. Axe includes a grain leather sheath.

     Each axe head is hand-forged from special Swedish steel which is then honed, tempered, & annealed to the perfect hardness by the experienced Gränsfors Bruk Swedish smiths who stamp their initials on the head, creating a one-of-a-kind masterpiece you'll treasure for years to come.
